Self Test for Anxiety Disorder

Many people want to know if they are suffering from an anxiety disorder. Some want a way to investigate prior to seeking help from a trained professional. Self tests are a way to gauge your behavior to see if it meets specific known anxiety behaviors.
  1. Worry

    • Everyone has worries. When worry overcomes your natural thought processes, then it should be considered a sign that you may be suffering from an anxiety disorder.

    Control

    • It's difficult to control racing thoughts and worries with an anxiety disorder. When anxiety, worries or racing thoughts become so out of control that you can't function in your normal life, then you may have an anxiety disorder.

    Restlessness

    • Do you feel restless and on edge more than not? If so, then you may be suffering from an anxiety disorder.

    Sleep

    • Sleep is affected by anxiety. If you are plagued with anxiety, you may be unable to sleep or your sleep may be interrupted.

    Physical and Emotional Symptoms

    • Headaches and muscle tension often accompany anxiety. Depression, substance abuse, panic and irritability can also be apparent with anxiety.
