Some anxiety is a normal life event. When anxiety seems to take over your life, you likely have a condition called an anxiety disorder. Some signs that you may have an anxiety disorder include constant worry, rechecking actions endlessly and fear for no good reason. You should contact your doctor or psychologist if you are suffering from anxiety.
  1. Obsessive Compulsive Disorder

    • With Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, OCD, you repeat upsetting thoughts that cause anxiety. To relieve that anxiety, you perform the same actions repeatedly.

    Post-Tramautic Stress Disorder

    • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, PTSD, is an anxiety disorder caused by witnessing or living through a traumatic event. Flashbacks, nightmares and anger are common problems for someone with PTSD.

    Panic Disorder

    • Panic Disorder causes extreme anxiety, dizziness, shortness of breath, heart palpitations and a frightening feeling.

    Social Phobia

    • With social phobia, social interactions and possible scrutiny are feared and can cause great anxiety.

    Generalized Anxiety Disorder

    • Extreme anxiety coupled with physical or behavioral problems that lasts for a minimum of six months is called Generalized Anxiety Disorder.
