How to Get a Good Night's Rest
All of us struggle with sleep from time to time. With the pace of today's society, it is hard to catch up with all that is on our plates. Many of us are continuously multi tasking throughout the day with no time to slow down and reflect. We in turn bring these stresses into our bedrooms and are unable to sleep. Instead of sleeping our minds are racing about things that need to be done tomorrow or should have been done today. When preparing for bed it is important to get comfortable. Don't wear anything to bed that might distract you from sleep. If you shirt is too tight or there is a tag that always bothers you, refrain from wearing this object of clothing. The goal is to get a good nights rest. This cannot be accomplished if our clothing is bothering us.

Besides our clothes we need to get our minds in a good restful place. Keep yesterdays worries behind you. Try to take a few deep breaths and let yourself self absorb for awhile. This is your time to rejuvenate for tomorrow. Don't let the thoughts of today take that away from you.

Turn off the television when it is time for bed. With endless channels and entertainment it is hard to fall asleep when you attention is focused elsewhere. Try to unwind with a good book, or just a chat with a loved one. Keep distracting entertainment to a minimum.

Finally, if nothing else is working for you do some meditation. Go ahead and list all things you are great full for. Say your prayers, or count sheep. All of these strategies will put your mind at ease and help you relax. Ultimately, everyone benefits from a good nights rest. Just think about how sharp you will be tomorrow.
