1
Implement an exercise and nutrition program. Get rid of excess chemical waste and adrenaline to help prevent anxiety attacks.
-
2
List the situations that cause you anxiety. When you encounter one of these situations, tell yourself, "I can handle this situation. I may feel anxiety, but it cannot hurt me."
-
3
Recognize when you start to feel anxious. Allow your body to feel the fear and handle it, while you work on your thought processes by not creating "what if" statements. Instead think about how wonderful you will feel when you have handled your anxiety attack.
-
4
Pay attention to your anxiety level and recognize when it rises and falls. You cannot physically stay at your worst anxiety level for very long.
-
5
Celebrate your success as you handle every anxiety attack and are at peace when it has passed.
