Laugh- If you are in a bad mood or feeling depressed try to find some way to laugh. Laughing boosts endorphins which are pleasure chemicals in the brain. The more endorphins you have the less upset or depressed you will feel. Watch a comedy on television or talk to a funny friend to increase your chances of laughing.

Exercise- Exercise is a great way to improve your mood and lessen depression. You do not have to run a marathon to get benefits from exercise. Take a brisk ten or fifteen minute walk during your break at work or in the morning. Exercise creates endorphins in the brain and like laughing it will improve your mood and reduce feelings of depression.

Sunshine- Go outside and get a few minutes of sunshine. Your body will absorb Vitamin D from the sun will help your immune system and your mood.

Friends- Socialize with friends and family. It is normal to want to isolate when feeling upset or depressed, but this can sometimes make the situation worse. Call up your best friend or grab a cup of coffee. Many times just talking to someone can improve mood and lessen feelings of depression.
