Grants For Counseling

There are a variety of grants available to help individuals get the counseling they need, whether it involves financial, health, or educational issues. Grantors include corporations, foundations and government agencies. Some grants are awarded directly to individuals; others are given to nonprofit organizations in need of financial assistance to provide the counseling services to clients.
  1. National Credit Union Foundation Housing Counseling Grant

    • The National Credit Union Foundation (NCUF) is the recipient of a grant of more than $710,000 from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The foundation will use the money to develop housing counseling services for low-income families that have never owned homes before. The services will be provided by 22 different nonprofit credit unions to counsel the new homeowners on such issues as effective budgeting and the importance of timely mortgage payments.
