Citalopram

• Citalopram is used to treat major depressive disorder. It is also used to treat obsessive-compulsive disorder. Side effects include dry mouth, insomnia and fatigue.

Adapin

• Adapin is a tricyclic antidepressent used to treat anxiety and depression. It is a mood elevator. Side effects include drowsiness, insomnia and nightmares.

Cymbalta

• Cymbalta is in a special class of antidepressants called dual uptake inhibitors. It is a seratonin and noraadrenalin uptake inhibitor. Cymbalta cannot be mixed with many categories of drugs so be sure to discuss this with your physician.

Cipralex

• Cipralex is used mainly for treating depression, but it can also be used to treat panic and fear. It is a selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitor that works by preventing seratonin from being reabsorbed by the nerve cells in the brain. Side effects include insomnia, decreased appetite and dizziness.

Olanzapine

• Olanzapine is used to treat emotional and mood disorders, including manic-depressive illness. It is a thienobenzodiazepine, which describes its chemical makeup. Side effects include dizziness, dry mouth and constipation.
