How long after you texturize can get a relaxer?

It's generally not advisable to get a relaxer immediately after texturizing your hair. Relaxer is a quite chemical process and needs to be done with great caution.

Allow your hair some time to recover from the texturizing process before subjecting it to another strong treatment like a relaxer. Here's a recommended guideline to consider:

Wait at least 8-12 weeks: This gives hair time to restore moisture, repair damage, and regain strength before going through another chemical treatment.

Get a professional consultation: Before making a decision, it's best to consult with a professional hairstylist who can assess the condition of your hair and recommend the best course of action.

Consider alternative treatments: If you want to manage frizz or modify the texture of your hair, there are gentler alternatives to a relaxer. Talk to your stylist about options such as low-pH conditioning treatments, smoothing masks, or heat styling tools.

Remember that the health of your hair should be a top priority. Give it enough time to recover and consult with experts to make informed decisions about your hair care routine.
