Rivotril Side Effects

Rivotril is better known by the generic name of Clonazepam, but it's also known as Clonex and Klonopin. The medication is used in the treatment of panic disorders and epilepsy. However, you should also know that there are certain side effects associated with Rivotril.
  1. Appetite

    • One of the more common side effects of Rivotril is a change in appetite. You might notice that you feel more hungry or less hungry than you did before taking the medication.

    Warning

    • While taking Rivotril you shouldn't drink alcohol. The alcohol can intensify the side effects of the medication and may slow your nervous system.

    Stomach Problems

    • Side effects of Rivotril include stomach cramps or an upset stomach. You may also feel nauseous and have problems keeping food down because of diarrhea and vomiting.

    Miscellaneous

    • Other side effects of the medication include the sensation of being dizzy and having a dry mouth. These side effects are more intense with some users, particularly those taking antihistamines.

    Sleepiness

    • Rivotril side effects also include feelings of drowsiness or tiredness, as if you didn't get enough sleep the night before. You may also feel weak, which relates to the tired feelings.
