What is the definition of panic attacks?
Panic attacks are sudden episodes of intense anxiety that typically reach their peak within minutes. They can be extremely frightening and may cause a variety of physical symptoms, such as chest pain, shortness of breath, dizziness, and sweating.
Panic attacks are often triggered by stress or anxiety-provoking situations, but they can also occur without any apparent trigger. They can be a symptom of an anxiety disorder, such as panic disorder or generalized anxiety disorder, but they can also occur in people who do not have an anxiety disorder.
Panic attacks can be very distressing and can significantly interfere with a person's life. However, they can be effectively treated with medication, therapy, or a combination of both.
