Can people in a coma hear and sense people?
In general, people who are in a deep coma are less likely to be able to hear or sense people than those who are in a lighter state of consciousness. However, there have been cases of people in very deep comas who have been able to respond to spoken commands or other external stimuli.
It is important to note that just because someone is in a coma does not mean that they are not aware of their surroundings or the people around them. They may simply be unable to communicate or respond to external stimuli.
If you are caring for someone who is in a coma, it is important to speak to them in a gentle voice and to touch them gently. Even though they may not be able to respond, they may still be able to hear and sense your presence.
