Side Effects of Clonazepan

Clonazepam is a prescription medicine that is used for the treatment of both panic attacks and seizure disorders. It is classified as a benzodiazepine. These types of medications work on the central nervous system in order to create a sense of calm. Clonazepam increases GABA's effects on the body. GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid) is a natural body chemical. There are some side effects that result from taking clonazepam.

They include feeling lightheaded, unsteadiness, clumsiness, exhaustion, runny nose, headache, drowsiness, dizziness, coughing, constipation, appetite loss, dry mouth, nervousness, anxiety, muscle pains and more saliva.     Serious Side Effects

Some signs to be aware of include having problems with breathing, tightness of the chest, swelling, skin rash and hives.
