Instructions

      PRACTICE MENTAL AGGRESSION

To increase self-confidence, visualize yourself (in your mind's eye) acting aggressively in a feared, or anxiety-producing situation. Vividly picture this situation - the sights, the smells, the sounds, the people - to make it as real as possible. Use your mind to visualize yourself acting bold, strong, super confident, and aggressive. This will create new pathways within your brain that will help you reproduce these self-confident feelings in real time.

      RECREATE PAST TRAUMATIC EVENTS

In your mind, recreate and relive past events that were painful, embarrassing, or damaging to your self-esteem and self-confidence. Visualize yourself as being very strong, capable, and overflowing with self-confidence and strength. Imagine yourself taking charge and obliterating any obstacle in your way. See yourself as victorious, your honor, self-esteem, and self-confidence restored.

      RElIVE CONFIDENT MOMENTS

Remember and focus on past moments or situations in which you felt self-confident, strong, and positive. Mentally relive these self-confident moments, the sights, your bodily sensations, the sounds, etc. Zero in on these positive, self-confident feelings and amp them up, magnify them to extraordinary proportions until you are overflowing with positive, self-confident energy. Do this religiously!

      HAMMER YOUR FEARS

Visualize a giant, steel hammer that you control and use to smash and obliterate negative, self-defeating thoughts, feelings, and worries. Your self-confidence increases with every smash of this hammer. Picture a glass box filled with all of your negative feelings, and imagine your steel hammer smashing those feelings to pieces. Your hammer is self-confidence, crushing every last ounce of doubt and worry.

      STARE AT YOURSELF

Every morning, stare at yourself in your bathroom mirror for several minutes. Stare deep into your eyes and tell yourself that you are strong, you are capable, and you are deserving. Imagine these self-confident affirmations and words penetrating deep into your eyes, going through your head and into your brain. This is a great way to increase self-confidence and self-awareness.
