1
Meditate on your decision to change your pathway for at least 15 minutes per day. Depending on how big a change you are contemplating, you will want to do this for days or weeks. Sit in a quiet place with your eyes closed and allow your thoughts to occur without judgment. Simply observe what you are thinking. Doing this regularly will help you gain clarity on the change.
-
2
Write down your goals for your life change. List the pros and the cons of making a change in your pathway. Make sure that you are very specific.
-
3
List any fears that you have about making a change. Once you have done this, you can talk about them with others or journal about ways to overcome these fears. Do not allow fear to be the reason for not making a positive change in your life.
-
4
Talk about the changes you are considering with a trusted friend, family member or counselor. Make sure that you choose a positive person who has your best interests at heart.
-
5
Act on the change you wish to occur in a small way each day. If you are considering a career change, look through classified ads or at school programs for a few minutes. If you want to get married, sign up for a dating site and email an individual. These small acts will help you change your life if done every day.
