Take three to five deep breaths. Breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth. Do this as soon as you are starting to feel angry. Tell yourself that you are in charge of the emotions that make you angry, and you are in control of how you feel.

Turn on music that you love. Whether you are in the heat of anger or are dealing with the consequences of losing your temper, music can calm you or boost your mood. Music can also trigger the memory of something or some time that you love. If you feel yourself getting angry, turn on some music that soothes your nerves or boosts your mood.

Take a nap. Sometimes the reason you are feeling overemotional and angry is because you are tired. This doesn't just refer to being physically tired. It's possible to feel mentally tired as well. Lay down and rest when handling those emotions.
