1
Practice yoga regularly to improve your ability to focus. Do this by attending a class at your local gym or by purchasing an instructive book or DVD that will lead you through a routine of multiple poses. Build concentration by holding each pose for as long as possible, increasing the time gradually. End each yoga practice with a meditation, which will clear your mind and enable you to focus on your goals.

Clear your workspace of unnecessary clutter to avoid becoming side-tracked. Remove any photographs from the area as these can catch your eye and distract you. Choose a quiet location away from windows with a view. Ensure that your work area is comfortable with adequate lighting and a chair that will support your back.

Train your mind to concentrate for long periods by telling yourself, "be here now," when you catch your mind wandering and bring your thoughts back to the desired subject. This will become easier the more the technique is practiced. Avoid responding to diversions while you are working, such as doors banging or people talking.
