How to Make Your Own Subliminal Tapes--Free

Subliminal messages are words that are played below our hearing threshold; words that are imperceptible to the conscious mind are subliminal. Supposedly though, we can pick up the words subconsciously and integrate them into our behaviors, or learn from them on a subconscious level. It is relatively cheap to make your own subliminal tapes rather than buying them, enabling you to customize your messages.

Instructions

  1. Choosing Your Message

    • 1

Organize your equipment. Put the blank tape in the tape recorder and plug in the microphone. Some tape recorders have a built-in microphone so you don't need to use an external one.

    • 2

Write several possible subliminal messages. Write them in the first person, "I am healthy," for instance, to reflect a positive desire. So, rather than saying "I am not fat," you should say, "I am slim." Write several possibilities.

    • 3

Read over your statements and choose one that seems right for what you want to achieve. Keep messages short and to the point rather than very long or detailed. If you have more than one message you would like to try, start with one then move on to more.

    Record Yourself

    • 4

Choose a relaxing background sound. As you shouldn't hear your own voice on the tape, it is important to choose soothing music or nature sounds that you can listen to.

    • 5

Play the music loudly near the microphone and record yourself repeating the subliminal message on your tape recorder. Speak quietly and softly, so the music dominates the tape.

    • 6

Test the tape by playing it back at a volume level where you can hear the music, but not hear your own voice. You can listen to it while relaxing or even sleeping.
