Self Confidence Training
Self confidence does not always come easily, and sometimes it seems like many of us can more easily focus on the negative rather than the positive. This can be especially true when it comes to our own self-examination. However, you can learn to increase your self confidence.-
Significance
-
Self confidence is extremely important in both your career and personal life. If you are filled with insecurity and doubt, it can hinder your performance in the workplace and also your ability to socialize or form strong, healthy romantic relationships. If you lack self confidence, you may not ever push yourself beyond your comfort zone and take new challenges or risks to achieve new goals.
Comfort Zones
-
In regard to self confidence, there is a cycle of success. Success breeds confidence and confidence breeds success. To help build your self confidence, look for areas in your life in which you can set yourself up for small victories. For instance, if you get nervous introducing yourself and meeting new people, perhaps try to say hello one day to someone new and maybe even exchange pleasantries. This may seem like a small step, but any way you can slowly stretch your comfort zone and try new things will help you build a background of success and enhance your confidence.
Goals and Positive Thinking
-
Goal setting is important and very personal when building your confidence. What matters most is how you feel about whether or not you met your own personal goals and not what others may think. Setting goals gives you a measurable way of gauging how you're doing. Goals allow you to build on your success by setting new, more challenging goals to achieve using the skills and knowledge you build. Positive thinking will become easier as you see yourself achieving your personal goals, and you will be able to believe in yourself.
