How to Use Binaural Beats While Doing Homework
Binaural beats were discovered in the 1800s to synchronize brain waves to affect mind state and mood. Some of these sound tracks attract teens with promise of effects similar to recreational drugs, others are used in studies to alter moods and increase concentration. The tracks work by playing different tones in each ear accompanied by a form of white noise to filter any background noise. The dissonance between the two tones played in each ear is said to cause a reaction in the brain resulting in increased focus, memory and motivation.Things You'll Need

1
Sit or lie in a comfortable position either in a comfortable chair or in bed. If you are using a computer to stream the music file, ensure the headphones reach your chosen place. Select a binaural beat track designed to improve concentration, motivation and memory.
-
2
Put on the headphones and adjust the volume of the track. Confirm that it is loud enough to hear but not too loud to be distracting. In most cases, this will be less than half the maximum volume of the player.
-
3
Relax and apply the blindfold. This is to deprive the sense of sight, allowing you to better meditate with the aid of the binaural beat. Take slow, deep breaths and remain still while listening to the entire MP3, which should last between 20 and 35 minutes.
-
4
Remove the headphones and blindfold. Proceed with your usual studying methods. You may experience an increase in focus and ability to retain information.
