How to Revitalize Yourself
With all the demands and woes that we face everyday, it is easy to burn-up, burn-out and burn-down. The human being, in both heart, body and soul, is no different than a machine: it has batteries. If left unattended but constantly drained, these batteries will run down and leave a person exhausted, angry and in pain. However, revitalization is not impossible and can make a large impact on a person and those around them.Instructions

1
Understand what is draining you. As human beings, with work, family and sometimes school, we tend to focus on the negative. Make a list of the things in your life that are taking away your energy. Be honest and include any family, friends or other people who are sapping your strength.

2
Find out what makes you happy. Being so drawn to the negative, we rarely pay attention to the things and people that charge us. Make a list of the items that bring you joy and inner energy to get through your days.

3
Re-prioritize. Make a mental or physical list of the activities and choice that you are important and those that are taking up your energy. Re-prioritize them by moving the truly, absolutely necessary around along with the not-so-important. Many times we burn ourselves out unnecessarily.

4
De-stress. Find ways to remove stress from your day-to-day life. There's no way to remove stressful things from your life, but how you react to them is completely up to you. Practice stress management techniques such as deep breathing, yoga, meditation, listening to music or any other ways that relax you.

Be considerate but disappear. With multiple demands on your time and on you, find the time to disappear. Be considerate and let people know you're just taking a little vacation. Tell them you can be reached only in emergencies (only leave a cell number if possible), and relax. You don't have to be rude to people just take off responsibly.

Do more of the good things and less of the bad. Re-energizing yourself is greatly achieved by doing more things that make you feel good and less of those that make you feel bad. It sounds simple but it's true.
