Eat the right foods. The food pyramid isn't just a suggestion; it should be the norm for all healthy Americans. To have a good day, you need to give your body the proper fuel to keep it going. Eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, and drink at least 64 oz. of water a day. You'll instantly feel and look better.

Exercise at least 30 minutes a day. Exercise releases endorphins in your body that make you feel good, and that can really turn around a bad day. Get in at least 30 minutes of cardiovascular activity each day, and you'll notice a change in your body and your mood.

Look on the bright side. You don't have to let the little annoyances ruin an otherwise good day. If you're stuck in traffic, use the time to finish that book on tape or catch up on the top 20 songs on the chart. Think of it as a little more time to yourself before the work day begins.

Surround yourself with people you like. Life is too short to spend time with people who bring you down, so befriend upbeat people who truly care about your well-being. You can always have a good day when you know you're with people who love you.

Learn something new every day. Learning is what separates the old from the young, so make it a point to learn something new every day. It will give you purpose and make you feel like you have accomplished something.
