    • The writing and recording method, as ancient as it might seem, is sometimes the most plausible method of remembering things. These days, with specials gadgets such as Blackberries and voice messages, keeping track of to-do lists and other rampant thoughts is a lot easier.

    • If writing is too tedious of a task, there is always the medicinal and therapeutic approach. There are doctors who even recommend a change in diet, specifically to one low in calories.

      You can also try a multivitamin to boost your memory. Vitamin B in particular has been found to play a key role in mental functions, while vitamin E reduces the buildup of fatty substances in the blood vessels in the brain. These elements can be found in dairy products, eggs, nuts and wheat germ. If these nutrients are not sufficient, the ever-popular ginkgo and ginseng are also great supplements. These, however, need to be taken moderately and under the supervision of a medical practitioner.

      Exercise is also good for the brain. That morning jog can increase the bloodflow throughout the body, which in turn, pumps up the brain activity.

    Catching Those Z's & Playing Games

    • Sleeping is a direct link to memory activity. Therefore, when missing out on too much, you won't function at your highest level. The regular eight hours per night is recommended, although some people need more. Allow your body's internal clock to determine what it really needs.
      During your waking hours, consider crossword puzzles and games to keep the mind active. These are considered exercise for the brain. These games not only allow for the mind to exert some energy, but they also relieve some of the stress and anxiety that follow the end of the day.
