1
Fill out an application for paratransit services. The organization in your area will likely allow you to fill it out online, or download it and fax, mail or email it back in. Most organizations require you to qualify for disabled status under the criteria laid out by the Americans with Disabilities Act, and lack the ability to get from your home to a local bus stop or train station, or to board that system without a ramp or lift.

2
Attend any in-person interviews or other meetings that the organization requires. If you have a wheelchair or other device helping your mobility, you will likely need to bring it for testing.
-
3
Keep any specialized identification cards that the organization gives you in a safe place. If you do not have these identification cards, you will not be able to use the services for which you have qualified.
-
4
Call the service number to arrange your provided transportation when you need it. Different organizations require different amounts of lead time before your desired departure time, so ensure you know how much notice you need to give the staff.
