Wiley X Safety

Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requires employers to provide employees with eye protection that meets the safety standards set forth by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). Wiley X offers several safety glasses that meet ANSI Z87.1 under the "Eye and Face Protection" standard.

  1. Climate Control

    • The Climate Control line offers ventilation to avoid lens fogging and "proprietary polarized lens technology" that protects from UV rays. The glasses endure high velocity, which makes them ideal for use in construction. A removable "facial cavity seal blocks wind, debris and peripheral light" and allows for easy cleaning. Wiley X offers this model with prescription lenses.

    Changeable

    • The Changeable series is recommended for use in the military. The series "exceeds military specifications for ballistic impact protection," according to the company. The glasses can be used with night vision goggles. Changeable lenses wrap around the face to provide peripheral protection.

    Active

    • The Active line is designed for high-energy activity. The glasses include a nonslip feature on the nose and temple, polarized lenses and high-velocity protection. The glasses in this line are appropriate for motorcycle riding and bicycling.

    Goggles

    • Wiley X goggles incorporate several safety features with the added benefit of a head strap to secure them to the user's face. Safety features include ventilation to avoid fogging and ballistics protection. The goggles also can be used with night vision gear and are available with prescription lenses.
