How to Renew First Aid & CPR Online

There are various reasons people decide to become first aid and CPR certified. Some people desire to be certified in the event of an emergency or natural disaster. Other individuals are required to have it for their employment. Whatever the reason, most people lead busy lives which do not allow them time to renew their certification in a classroom setting, yet they do desire to keep their certifications active. Renewing your certification can now be done online, after taking some short courses.

Instructions

    • 1

Review courses available and select the course that fits your needs best. You will have to choose from a wide variety of organizations that offer CPR and first aid training such as The American Red Cross or American Heart Association. Most of the courses are exclusively online and you will only need to sit in front of your computer and answer some questions.

    • 2

Register for the course(s) you selected. You will only need to provide some basic information like your name and address. You will then be provided with some materials you will need to study. Watch videos related to the course you have chosen to refresh your knowledge.

    • 3

Take the actual exam. Most of the tests provide you with the possibility of retaking them free of charge, if you fail the first time.

    • 4

Print some extra copies of your certificates (or cards) to have them with you whenever you may need them or in the event of misplacement of your original copy. If your place of employment requires certification for first aid or CPR, ensure they always have updated copies.
