DO I NEED TO BE CERTIFIED RESTRAIN ANYONE?
It depends on your jurisdiction and the situation. In general, you are not required to be certified to restrain someone if you are doing so in self-defense or to defend someone else from imminent danger. However, if you are working in a professional setting, such as a law enforcement officer or a healthcare provider, you may be required to have certification in order to restrain someone.
In the United States, most jurisdictions have specific laws that govern the use of restraint. For example, in some states, you may only use restraint if you have a reasonable belief that the person is dangerous to themselves or others. In other states, you may only use restraint if you have been trained to do so.
If you are not sure whether or not you need to be certified to restrain someone, it is best to err on the side of caution and consult with an attorney or other legal expert.
