When it comes to CPR and First Aid training classes, the American Red Cross is the recognized authority. This organization has trained millions of people in basic lifesaving skills that can make the difference in an emergency. The Red Cross offers CPR and First Aid classes designed for parents, students and employees. Each of these classes is geared toward teaching ordinary people how to act in an emergency situation. Get on the Internet and navigate your browser to the American Red Cross website at www.redcross.org.

Hover your cursor over the header labeled "Preparing and Getting Trained" and click the link that reads "Get Trained."

Enter your zip code in the box and click "Go" to find the nearest Red Cross chapter. Navigate to that website.

Click the link that reads "Take a Class" or something similar. Websites in different areas may be set up differently.

Click "View the Course Catalog" and select the type of training that you need.

Choose the course that you need, select a class time that fits your schedule, and proceed with the enrollment procedure.
