National Emergency Medicine Association
-
The National Emergency Medicine Association (NEMA) offers a grant program to help train groups of individuals, particularly non-profit groups that work with children or adults within the health care community. NEMA has three levels of consideration for receiving a grant. The first to receive consideration are those non-profit groups that deal with coronary trauma and heart wellness programs. The second to receive consideration are those that deal with all types of trauma. The third and final consideration goes to groups who deal with trauma prevention and the cause of trauma. NEMA grant proposals should be submitted directly to the president of NEMA for consideration on receiving a grant to help fund CPR training.

The American Red Cross also offers various grants to receive CPR training through individual offices in states and cities throughout the United States. A person or group of individuals looking to complete CPR training should contact his local Red Cross office to inquire about possible grants to complete the entire training or about any free certification programs that also may be offered.

Another great resource for receiving possible grant money for both CPR and AED training is the American CPR Training Association. This group offers grants to various organizations, including major corporations and small businesses, as well as individuals looking to complete their CPR and/or AED certification. Typically, receiving a grant through American CPR training will enroll the group or individual in both CPR and AED training, and funding for the AED training may also be provided or heavily discounted.
