How to Prevent Goggles From Fogging Up
Things You'll Need
- Liquid soap (preferably without moisturizers)
- Soft lint-free cloth or commercial lens cleaning tissues
- Spray window cleaner (without ammonia)
Instructions
-
Liquid Soap
-
1
Place a drop or two of liquid dishwashing soap onto the interior of the goggles.
-
2
Rub it over the front and back of the lenses until it covers the entire lens. Allow it to dry on the lenses for about 4 minutes.
-
3
Buff the dry soap off the lenses with a soft, lint-free cloth or commercial lens-cleaning tissues. The goggles will not fog up for several hours after using this method.
Window Cleaner
-
4
Spray a light mist of ammonia-free window cleaner on the inside of the goggles. Products that contain ammonia may cause your eyes to burn and tear.
-
5
Spread the window cleaner over the inside of the goggles with your fingertips. Avoid scratching the lenses with your fingernails.
-
6
Wipe the cleaner off the lenses with a soft, lint-free cloth.
