How to Jump From a Moving Car
Jumping from a moving car is very dangerous and should only be done as a last resort. If you life is under immediate threat, if you are being held hostage and the person holding you has a weapon, or if the brakes on the car have failed and the car is heading off of a cliff, then you may have no choice other than to exit the moving car.Instructions

1
Apply the emergency brake if possible. This probably won't stop the car, but it should slow it down to make it safer for you to get out of the moving car.
-
2
Open the car door completely. You want the door wide open so it does not close on you while you are jumping.
-
3
Time your jump to allow you to aim for a soft landing spot if possible. Grass, dirt and brush are better alternatives than pavement or a tree.
-
4
Fold your arms tightly around your chest and tuck in your head. This makes your body more circular so that you can roll when you land. It also helps to protect your head from hitting the ground.

5
Jump away from the car. Your body is moving the same speed as the car and when you jump it continues to move in the same direction as the car. Be sure that you jump away from the moving vehicle so you do not get run over by it.

6
Hit the ground with your shoulder first and then propel your weight to your side, causing your body to roll. Continue rolling until you are safely off the road and away from traffic.
