How to Make a Group for the Zombie Apocalypse
The Zombie Apocalypse is a scenario in which large numbers of people are turned into mindless, violent animals on a large scale. Events of this kind are portrayed in media and literature throughout the world, possibly as the result of an instinctual aversion to this potential disaster. While such an event might seem like fiction, there are a number of plausible causes that could lead to a full-scale zombie outbreak, such as brain parasites, neurotoxins, neurogenesis and nanorobots. A large group of survivors runs the risk of detection by zombies, but a smaller group of three to six individuals, each with a different set of skills, has a much better chance of survival than a single person.Things You'll Need

1
Choose the members of your group carefully. Surviving the zombie apocalypse requires an entirely different set of skills than everyday existence. Some of the less obvious areas of specialization you will need are stealth for scouting, first-aid for obvious reasons, construction for building fortifications, blacksmithing for repairs and farming to maintain an independent supply of food. Combat abilities are also important, both hand-to-hand and armed. You'll want a person or two who knows her way around a firearm. Assign roles for day-to-day survival as well as combat situations.

2
Consider how each of your group mates handles himself under stress. Speed is also important; your group will only be as fast as its slowest member.
-
3
Taking a course or two in leadership and group dynamics. A strong leader will be invaluable to your group.
-
4
Develop an emergency plan as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the event of a zombie uprising. Decide on two places to meet your group mates: one near your neighborhood and one farther away in case you are unable to return home.
-
5
Know where you are going and plan your escape route. Don't just head north and hope for the best. Pick an isolated, defensible area and learn all you can about it.
-
6
Consider your means of transportation. A sedan is a good balance of gas mileage, storage space and durability. A truck may feature increased durability but at the cost of mileage and passenger space. Motorcycles are fast and maneuverable with excellent mileage, but suffer from small gas tanks and limited protection. Mountain bikes at first glance might not seem like the best option, but they are quiet and maneuverable, and don't require fuel.

Run survival and combat drills. Practice gathering needed supplies and assembling at the rally point under short notice. A little effort now can save you a lot of stress later.
