Fire Stations in Orange County, Florida

Orange County is one of Central Florida's most populated counties, featuring the cities of Orlando and Lake Buena Vista, which is home to the Walt Disney World Resort. Its fire stations are organized by battalion, each containing seven individual stations. The battalions are strategically placed throughout the county to cover select suburbs of Orlando. Some battalions overlap the more heavily populated areas of the city, which tend to lie on both sides of Interstate 4.
  1. Battalion 1

    • Battalion 1 is on the northwest side of Orlando, near Lake Apopka. It includes fire stations 20, 27, 28, 29, 40, 41 and 42. Fire station 20 is in the town of Zellwood. Stations 27, 28 and 29 are all within the city of Apopka. Forty, 41 and 42 are considered to be within the city limits of Orlando, but they are on the far north side that borders up against suburbs such as Altamonte Springs and Maitland.

    Battalion 2

    • Battalion 2 covers the west central portion of Orlando. Its fire stations are 30, 31, 33, 34, 35, 37 and 43. Many of the stations are near the Metro West neighborhood and Universal Studios. Some of its stations are in the suburbs of Winter Garden and Windemere, which lie directly north of Lake Buena Vista, Sea World and Walt Disney World.

    Battalion 3

    • Battalion 3 covers the south central side of Orlando that lies to the east of Interstate 4. Its stations are numbered 32, 36, 54, 56, 57 and 58. Most of the stations are in the tourist area, near International Drive and the city of Kissimmee. Kissimmee borders Lake Buena Vista and the Walt Disney Resort on the east and features many hotels and tourist attractions. International Drive is home to the Orange County Convention Center as well as many tourist shops and restaurants.

    Battalion 4

    • Battalion 4's area is just to the north of Battalion Three. Its stations include 50, 51, 52, 53, 55, 70 and 73. Many of its stations are near business districts and major employers such as Lockheed Martin. One of its stations is in the suburb of Taft.

    Battalion 5

    • Battalion 5 is composed of stations 63, 66, 71, 72, 76, 77 and 81. Its area covers the northeast side of Orlando, including suburbs such as Winter Park. A few of the battalion's stations are in more remote areas of the city, just to the northeast of Kissimmee.

    Battalion 6

    • Battalion 6 covers the most area in terms of land miles. It covers more rural areas to the east of north Orlando. Its stations are 65, 80, 82, 83, 84, 85 and 86. Most of the stations are considered to be in Orlando's city limits, with one station in the town of Christmas.
