Fire Extinguisher Engineer Training

Fire extinguisher engineer training is a safety and maintenance course designed to help engineers learn the various aspects of a fire extinguisher, and how they are built and operated. The ultimate goal is to gain the best possible use in all types of fire extinguishers.
  1. Purpose

    • The fire extinguisher training for engineers includes various steps. However, the main purpose is to identify the causes and means of preventing fires.

    Training

    • The engineering process consists of learning the types of construction used to build and operation of various fire extinguishers. Another part of the hands-on training includes testing and inspection of the extinguishers with real fires.

    Certification

    • The British Approval for Fire Equipment (BAFE) certificate requires a 3 ½ day extinguisher service and maintenance examination. However, for those just looking to update their already existing certification, a refresher course is available that only takes one day.
