1
Place both shirts flat on the ground. If they are button-down shirts, fasten all the buttons on both shirts and leave the button-sides facing up.
-
2
Spread one shirt in front of you with bottom nearest you, the neck farthest away, and the sleeves spread to either side. Spread the second shirt so its neck is above the neck of the first shirt.. Essentially, the shirts form a row with the necks touching.
-
3
Slide one long wooden rod into bottom left side of the closest shirt and have the end exit through the left sleeve of that shirt. Do the same with the other rod through the right side and sleeve.
-
4
Slide the end of the left rod that came out of the left sleeve through the sleeve of the shirt above it. This rod should exit through the bottom edge of the upper shirt.
-
5
Slide the right-side rod through the right sleeve of the second shirt and have it exit in the same way as the left side. The rods should be parallel to each other and held in place by the sleeves.
-
6
Spread towels, pillows or blankets on top of the shirts to provide padding for the victim requiring the stretcher.
