  Put in the best batteries possible before you carry the cell phone stun gun. You need to change the batteries often, especially if you suspect that they have gone dead or the battery light comes on.

  Keep the cell phone stun gun in the case provided. The holster style case can be placed on your belt buckle or inside your purse.

  Try the alarm first. If you find yourself in a threatening situation that does not require use of the stun gun, sound the alarm instead. Many cell phone stun guns have this feature and distinguish between the alarm and stun gun feature.

  Press the button that turns on the stun gun. Most models require that you hit the same button again to shoot. An electrical charge is sent out that can disable the attacker instantly.

  Get help right away. Unfortunately, you can't make a call with the cell phone stun gun because the phone features are not operable.
