How to Dispose of Koozies

1
Contact your local municipal waste management facility and local recycling companies and ask if the material that your koozie is made of is recyclable. Some facilities offer options for hard and soft plastics, foam, foam rubber, neoprene and similar materials. If a facility will take your koozies, take the koozies to the facility or place them in pick-up recycling bins as directed by the facility representative.

2
Cut up natural fiber fabric koozies into small pieces or shred into fibers. Add the scraps or fiber to a garden compost bin. If you don't have a compost bin, reuse the fabric scraps as rags to clean up paint, oil or similar liquids and then dispose of the rags in the trash per local waste management disposal policies.
-
3
Reuse koozies around your home, office or garage. For example, lay a fabric koozie on a tabletop to double as a coaster or store items such as pens, coupons and other objects in a foam or fabric koozie.
-
4
Donate the koozies to schools or other organizations to reuse in sewing, craft or other projects. For example, students can use foam koozies in sculpture projects and quilters can use fabric koozies in quilts. Additionally, donate to thrift shops and churches that can sell your koozies to raise funds.
