There are many tools and techniques available to help raise public awareness of global warming.

There are many free blogs and wiki applications available to internet users. Cull information for posts from a reputable umbrella organization such as the U.S. Climate Action Network.

  Offer to speak in the community to increase awareness of the cause. Middle school classrooms, senior centers and social clubs often welcome guest speakers to their gatherings. A well-researched and practiced presentation will engage your audience and serve as a call to action. Alternatively, you can invite a presenter from The Climate Project to speak about climate change at your event.

  Consider hosting a fundraiser or a volunteer drive to achieve support for a specific community project. Local organic gardens, the installation of a solar panel in a public place or a tree planting initiative are examples of projects that require resources and community participation to complete.
