How to Dispose of Cold Ice Packs
Cold ice packs can be used to keep food cold in coolers and to add ice to sports injuries. Today, many cold ice packs are nontoxic and made from durable material. However, older models of cold ice packs may need to be disposed of safely because they contain hazardous ingredients such as ammonia nitrate, which can be harmful to the environment. If you are unsure of the toxicity of the contents, do not pour them down the drain. Instead, dispose of the damaged cold ice pack in a way that is not harmful to the environment.Things You'll Need
