Instructions

  1. Curbside Recycling

    • 1

Place paper products like empty envelopes, colored paper, newspapers, magazines, phone books, paper egg cartons, paperback books and clean cardboard in the blue recycling cart. Dispose of paper napkins, paper towels, wax-coated paper milk cartons, paper tissue and soiled paper items in the trash.

    • 2

Place glass bottles and jars in the recycling cart. Make sure the bottles are empty. Other glass items go in the trash.

    • 3

Put empty aluminum cans and pie tins in the blue cart. Empty aerosol cans and tin cans may also be recycled. Do not recycle aluminum foil. Dispose of foil in the trash cart.

    • 4

Recycle plastic beverage bottles that carry a recycling symbol with a number from one to seven. The recycling symbol looks like a triangle formed by three arrows. Recycle plastic containers other than beverage bottles if they have a recycling symbol with the number one or two.

    • 5

Throw non-paper packaging materials like foam peanuts, bubble wrap and Styrofoam in the trash. Do not recycle plastic bags.
