Choose products that have the least amount of packaging and/or those that can be recycled. Many manufacturers are redesigning packaging to use fewer materials and recyclable materials.

Buy in bulk rather than purchasing numerous small packages of material, which increases waste. Also choose products that are concentrates or are refillable.

Carry and use your own shopping bags (preferably canvas) whenever possible.
