How to Safely Clean Off Dilantin
Dilantin is a brand-name, antiseizure medication often prescribed for people diagnosed with epilepsy. Its generic name is phenytoin and it's available in capsules, liquid suspension and chewable tablets. Never stop taking Dilantin without your physician's approval. Outdated or unneeded medication must be disposed of properly. If Dilantin is accidentally spilled on yourself or on a surface, care must be taken to safely clean the affected area. Dilantin's material safety data sheet, or MSDS, warns that the drug "is very hazardous in case of ingestion" and that "severe over-exposure can result in death." It is also eye and inhalation irritant as well as mild skin irritant.Things You'll Need
