Plastic is one of the most disposable materials in U.S. culture and makes up many things that we use. Unfortunately, the majority of plastics gets thrown away into landfills instead of being recycled. Recycling plastic is useful and is possible to do efficiently.
  1. Curbside Collection

    • Some communities offer curbside collection of plastics for recycling. This can easily replace throwing any plastics away. Ask your city government or private trash collector about possible curbside collections.

    Bottle Banks

    • You can exchange plastic bottles for money in some states. You can make a couple of bucks for a good number of plastic bottles if the bottle banks accepts those types of bottles.

    Recycling Centers

    • Many communities have a recycling center where you can take all sorts of plastic items to be recycled. Grab a bin and load it with all your plastic goods and then hand them off to the recycling center.
