How to Recycle Canon GPR-11 Toner
Certain Canon imageRUNNER office machines use GPR-11 laser toner cartridges in black, yellow, cyan and magenta to create printouts. As documents print out, excess toner is collected in containers for disposal. Canon has designed these plastic resin containers and the waste toner within the containers for safe recycling. Local recycling or energy recovery facilities that accept waste toner can recycle them without harming the environment. Canon also accepts the containers at its Toner Container Collection Center in Kentucky.Things You'll Need

1
Contact your local municipal waste, recycling or energy recovery centers to determine whether you can recycle your GPR-11 waste toner locally. If you find a facility that accepts the containers, ask for specific instructions on the facility's preferred method of drop-off.
-
2
Seal your Canon GPR-11 waste toner containers in grocery bags or with plastic wrap to prevent toner leaks during drop-off or shipment.
-
3
Pack the containers in a box. If you can't find a local facility to accept the containers and must ship the box, fill the gaps around the containers in the box with bubble wrap, packing peanuts or shipping paper to stop the containers from shifting during shipment. Seal the box shut with box tape.

Take the box to the drop-off location or to a local shipper, such as USPS, UPS or FedEX, and pay the shipper to mail the package to:
