How to Dispose of Batteries & Old Computers in Georgia
Computers and batteries contain hazardous materials such as nickel, mercury, cadmium and lead that can harm the environment and human health if disposed of incorrectly. Traditionally, the Environmental Protection Agency only supported electronics disposal in properly managed municipal solid waste landfills, but recently, the agency added the eCycling program to educate citizens about reusing and recycling electronics. In addition to online resources, it also provides a bricks-and-mortar location in each state. Georgia's eCycling office is located in Atlanta.Instructions
