Brown Paper Bags:
Using scissors, while the bag is folded, get as close to the bottom as possible and cut it off.
You can have your children color one side of the paper and decorate it nicely and use this to wrap a gift for someone else.
This can also be used for a book cover for your children at school. -
2
Newspapers:
It is spring and many people are planting in their flower gardens or vegetable gardens, Newspaper makes a great weed barrier and it is biodegradable so it won't harm the earth.
You can also use newspaper for packing materials if you are shipping something. You can crumble it or shred it.
In the fall, get some old clothes out for a scarecrow and stuff its body with newspaper -

Two liter bottles or plastic milk jugs:
The bottoms of a two liter bottle or milk jug can be used as a planter to start tomato plants in.
You can also reuse them to store rainwater in to water plants on a hot summer day, just be sure to save the cap so the water does not evaporate. Capture the rain water in a larger bucket and pour it into the milk jug or two liter using a funnel. Now just save it for those times in the summer when the earth is craving water, when there is a drought.
Cut off just the top of the milk jug, leaving the handle, and store your clothes pins in it for when you are hanging your clothes outside to dry.
Reuse the two liter bottle to make kool aid in. Use a funnel to add the mix, water, and sugar, and again save the lid.
Cut the top off of a two liter bottle and turn it upside down to use as a funnel.

Leftover food:
You can use left over food for compost in your garden areas. It will enrich the earth with vitamins and nutrients without harming the planet. -
5
Bar Soap:
Save the tiny little pieces of bar soap that is always left. Wait until you have a small handful of them and put them in an old knee high or women's stocking, and tie a knot close to the soap and cut off the excess. Use this to wash your hands with. The soap will lather up right through the panty hose.
