What is erythroleukocytosis?
Erythroleukocytosis is a rare blood condition in which there is an increase in the number of erythroblasts (immature red blood cells) and leukocytes (white blood cells) in the peripheral blood. It is usually associated with myeloproliferative disorders, such as polycythemia vera, myelofibrosis, and chronic myeloid leukemia. Erythroleukocytosis can also occur in response to certain infections, drugs, and other conditions. Symptoms of erythroleukocytosis may include fatigue, weakness, weight loss, fever, and bleeding. Treatment for erythroleukocytosis typically involves treating the underlying cause.
