Instructions

    • 1

Clean and dry the dressing site thoroughly as directed by your medical professional while wearing plastic gloves to prevent infection.

    • 2

Apply any prescribed antibacterial ointments or therapeutic creams directly to the wound site. Do not spread or rub the cream; the Tegaderm dressing will automatically flatten and spread any ointment on the skin.

    • 3

Hold the edges of the dressing to avoid contaminating the center window. Peel back the outlined center rectangle to reveal a transparent window.

    • 4

Position the transparent Tegaderm dressing window over the affected area.

    • 5

Lift the underside of the dressing edge and locate the slit in the brown paper backing. Remove the backing by pulling the slit and continue around the entire perimeter so the sticky clear edge of the dressing adheres to the skin.

    • 6

Smooth out any creases around the dressing that might allow water or bacteria to enter.
