1
Purchase a small bag or cooler from a department store. This will serve as the carry case for your first-aid supplies. Choose a bag with pockets or zipper pouches. Make a list of all the materials you will need in your kit. Ask your soccer coach if you can look through his bag for ideas and tips. Include items based on your area. For example, if there are a lot of bugs present during games, a small can of bug spray or bee-sting ointment would be a wise choice.

Adhesive bandages in various sizes, a good pair of first-aid scissors that will cut through nylon and athletic tape, tweezers that are properly pointed to remove splinters, nylon first-aid tape that will hold bandages onto the body when sweat on the skin is involved, 4-inch by 4-inch gauze pads, a few pairs of disposable latex gloves in case a bloody nose occurs, a bottle of bee-sting ointment, a travel pack of tissues, a few sandwich bags with zip locks to store used gauze pads or tissues, strong athletic tape, a 4-inch thick and 2-inch thick Ace bandage with plastic clips for knee or ankle sprains, two ice packs, moleskin to protect blisters or other wounds caused by cleats rubbing on the skin and a tube of Neosporin. If bugs are an issue at the soccer field, add a small can of bug spray.
