Instructions

    • 1

Wash the wound with soap and water. Blot it gently with the paper towel and allow it to air-dry.

    • 2

Select a Band-aid with a center pad slightly larger than the wound.

    • 3

Remove the Band-aid's paper covering, then hold the bandage's lining portions on the underside with the thumb and index fingers of both hands. Do not contaminate the center pad with your fingers or any other surface.

    • 4

Place the Band-aid so that the pad is centered over the wound. Pull the lining portions of the Band-aid simultaneously with both hands. As you pull the lining portions, gently lower and affix the adhesive portions of the Band-aid to the skin. Finish pulling away the lining portions and discard them.

    • 5

Smooth the Band-aid with your fingers to securely affix it to the skin. Make sure it is covering the wound.

    • 6

Leave the Band-aid on the wound until it has healed. This will protect the wound from germs and bacteria.

    • 7

Replace the Band-aid as needed if it becomes soiled or wet.
