How to Feel the Pulse Over the Eye
Most first aid and CPR classes teach first responders how to check for a person's pulse on the neck, the carotid pulse. But that is not the only place where you can find one. According to Betsy Jordan, a registered nurse with over ten years emergency room experience, pulse points can be found all over the human body. In fact, there are pulse points in the temples, located slightly above the eyes. Locating the temporal pulse is not any more difficult than checking for the carotid pulse.Instructions

1
Place the index and middle fingers on the person's temple. Apply light pressure. A pulse becomes detectable through slight compression of the temporal artery.
-
2
Check several locations on the temple if you cannot detect a pulse. The artery's location varies slightly from person to person.
-
3
Check the other temple if you cannot detect a pulse; the pulse may be stronger on the other side.
